Kevin Woods

Head of Hire & Events Division

Kevin’s experience of Technical Theatre and AV spans over 15 years. After studying a BTEC National Diploma in Production Arts at Richmond upon Thames college he went on to gain his degree in Theatre Practice from The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Upon graduating Kevin worked as a freelance lighting designer across many projects. In order to progress his career Kevin joined one of the UK’s leading technical production company based in South London. Working in Business Development Kevin quickly established a strong reputation within the industry leading to several further management roles. Kevin joined Avensys in 2017 and has progressed to the role of Head of Division proactively working, along with the team, to reshape and develop the division to what you see today. 

Elaine Frost

Client Engagement Manager

After a 17 year career as Global Head of Sales for a manufacturing special effects company, Elaine has recently joined the Avensys Hire & Events team as a Client Engagement Manager. Her previous position took her around the world as the brand ambassador where she quickly became a recognised face throughout the Theatre and Entertainment industry. Elaine is committed to helping to deliver the outstanding customer service we have become known for, she is already a firm favourite with our customers. 

 

Sharma Hadrill

Senior Project Manager

With over 30 years of working in the events industry, Sharma has a strong track record of delivering a wide range of highly successful event and media projects.  Her extensive creative, technical and operational knowledge and experience is underpinned by her passion for strong production values and delivering service excellence. 

Sharma works hard to develop strong and lasting relationships with her clients, resulting in clear communication and strong understanding of brand, project and budget requirements.

Steve Newman

Hire & Venue Support Manager

After A levels Steve studied Television & Video Production Management before moving into the conference & events world, starting as an AV Technician. Working on the south coast for many years including time as a freelance technician, Steve started at Avensys at the end of 2011 and is now our Hire & Venue Support Manager.

 
 
 
 

Technical Specialists.

Ollie Cross

Technical Project Manager

Ollie trained at Poole & Bournemouth College receiving a triple distinction in a BTEC National Diploma in Theatre Production. Ollie began his career building sets and rigging lighting for Dorset Opera. He moved to Sussex to further his career taking on a role as a theatre technician moving on to a larger entertainment venue after 5 years. After 7 years in theatre, Ollie moved to Avensys Hire & Events where he is now a Technical Project Manager after being with the company for 3 years.

 
 

Event Technician 

Vince is a multi-skilled Audio Visual Technician with a demonstrated history of working in the events services industry. Skilled in Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Customer Service, Audio Engineering, and Audio Recording. Strong arts and design professional, graduated from SAE Institute Oxford 

 

Billy Morgan

Hire & Warehouse Technician

Billy first started his technical career as an Apprentice Technician at an arts centre in Croydon. After gaining a proficient understanding of technical theatre, he then started the role of a Stage/Rigging technician at a receiving venue in West Sussex. This role required advanced competency in lighting, sound, staging, rigging & flying. Billy was able to stage-manage large scale touring productions, including the overseeing of freelancers. He then joined Avensys Hire & Events, looking after the delivery, operation and de-rigging of equipment hires, whilst also operating numerous events such as conferences & award ceremonies throughout the year.

 

Josh Smith

Hire & Warehouse Technician

Josh secured his first role in AV as a Junior Media Technician at Catholic School in Crawley. During his 8 years at the school, he worked alongside software and design engineers at Sony, assisting in the development of their ‘Digital Learning Experience’ a scheme that was rolled out to other educational establishments. This experience enabled him to develop a passion for filmmaking and technical production. Now working with Avensys Hire & Events, he is enhancing his skills in Lighting, Sound and Live Event Production.
